THE MF DOOM PLAYLIST

July 13, 2021 Tim C.

I woke up this morning and saw an IG post from Quasimoto saying that today would have been MF DOOM’s 50th birthday. While DOOM is unfortunately no longer with us, his music will live forever.

DOOM truly was a legend who stayed relevant in the rap game for over 30 years. Let me know another rapper that can claim that? There really aren’t many. And DOOM was still dropping fire verses last year and we know he’ll still be popping up every now and then with features and probably even full length releases like Madvillainy 2. I still bump DOOM on the regular and watch videos of his which bring great memories along with them. De La with DOOM on the Carson Daly show? Fire.

Just scrolling through DOOM live performances on YouTube can take you many great places. How about Atlanta in 2005 for some Madvillain tracks?

And sometimes you want to go back to the KMD days so you can see a young Daniel Dumile without his mask on. Props to 3rd Bass!

Or what about hearing DOOM up with Stretch and Bob from 1997? Just so damn smooth in every opportunity he had to grab the mic.

So today, July 13, 2021 I know what I’ll be doing. Bumping nothing but DOOM all day on the Spotify playlist that can be found down below.. And if you’re reading this, I hope you’re bumping some DOOM too.
