Do you ever catch the first glimpse of an actor, comedian, artist, rapper, or athlete and say, damn… they are special. You can always tell when they hold themselves a different way, exude confidence that has been instilled in them for years, and aspire to be more than what they’ve labeled as. That’s why you see so many basketball players that want to be rappers and vise versa. But sometimes these ones deemed special might not even be for what we know them for. It could be entirely different and that’s dope!
The first time I heard the name Jazz Chisholm I couldn’t believe it. I was like, so this dude’s name is actually Jazz? Of course I search the net to get to the bottom of this. Turns out his full name is actually Jasrado Hermis Arrington Chisholm Jr. How ‘bout that for a name? Pretty solid right? Where are you at on Jazz though? Have you seen any highlights? Have you watched this 93 times like I have?
Jazz could honestly hit .170 and I wouldn’t even care because he’s a vibe in itself. But instead of just being a vibe on the Miami Marlins he is an absolute monster. Got hit with some injuries last year but the talent jumps off the page. And the dude is an entrepreneur as well which gives him even more respect with me. Jazz is the Director of Culture of AriA Collective and if you haven’t seen the gloves???? Go give them a look. But then just also check this out while you’re at it. It might be the highlight of your day.
So I just started buying a lot of sports cards of Jazz. Mostly raw but have some graded cards in there as well. He just passes the eye test to me and I think his personality itself gives him a very high floor on the investment tip. Coming off of an injury so is a good buy low opportunity. But actually don’t listen to me, I’m an idiot with my money. But if you have some cash to blow, riding that Jazz train is a fun one. Just check out the way he handled his time on the MLB Network. Dude might as well just be on the show full time. I see the headlines of him not being a good teammate but I don’t pay them any mind. Jazz is super creative and I think he keeps a clubhouse chill. Playing in Miami you need to play with some waves and Jazz does just that.
If I had to compare Jazz to a rapper it would have to be none other that JID. JID stays in the pocket of every verse and just jabs with lyrical drip that has you going… wait… what? JID is just one of those dudes, like Jazz Chisholm, that is accumulating points and ascending to superstardom. We know J. Cole has JID’s best interests but do the Miami Marlins have the vision to keep Jazz and lock him up long term?
